New Anti-Fascist Book due!

MALATESTA CALLING! ANTIFASCISTS!

We are pleased to announce that AK Press will be publishing Militant Antifascism: 100 Years Of Resistance by ‘Malatesta.’ The book covers militant antifascism in Europe from 1914 to the present. We need help with the following:

Accounts of Militant Antifascism in the UK from 1970s – Present. No names, nothing dodgy! Any info on Militant anti-fascism in Europe, 1970s- Present especially Germany, France, Scandinavia, Croatia and Serbia. Any relevant press cuttings, online references and book titles 1970s- Present. Photos of demos, pickets etc., of a non-compromising nature and of publishable quality.

Ratcatcher (Video Diaries: Oct, 1994)

Ratcatcher was a documentary made for BBC 2 by an ex-member of the NF who joined the ANL.

Shortly after making and broadcasting that video diary, Paul became disillusioned with the politics of the ANL and the SWP and joined AFA. – SL

Violence with Violence (World in Action, 1993)

Violence with Violence is a World In Action documentary on anti-fascism in Britain, looking at the Anti-Nazi League, Panther UK (both militant and non-militant wings), Youth Against Racism in Europe and Anti-Fascist Action.

The past week gone has seen a few new additions to the archive.

Here are some images of Celtic’s anti-fascist tradition:

The last image is of the electronic scoreboard greeting Celtic Fans Against Fascism that is attributed to Union Berlin is actually from TeBe Berlin and it did not involve a match against Celtic. Some members of CFAF and TAL were visiting Berlin and the anti-fascists at TeBe invited us to a home match and organised the scoreboard greeting for us.

Fighting Talk was the journal of Anti-Fascist Action. I have collected issues 1 through 21; filling in the blanks of the Fighting Talk collection which has done the rounds. However I haven’t re-scanned copies of Fighting Talks from the existing collection. Those who brought you Beating the Fascists are soon to bring you a the full Fighting Talk and Red Action collection.
